Café Christian IX

At Café Christian IX, there's room for that extra experience, where you can meet up or celebrate that it's the weekend, a day off, or just a good day.

Cafe Christian IX is a cozy café offering delicious food at reasonable prices. Here, you can enjoy a variety of drinks, both hot and cold, which you can pair with their brunch and lunch dishes. There are also tasty evening meals that can be enjoyed with a glass of wine or a cold beer.

The café is located at the beginning of Nykøbing's lovely pedestrian street with a view of the town hall square and a statue of King Christian IX, after whom the café is named. From his spot in the square, he can enjoy the sight and aroma of the delicious food when outdoor seating is available during the summer months.

During the winter season, the premises are warm and cozy with hot coffee readily available.

Cafe Christian IX is named after King Christian IX (1863-1906), who is depicted in a statue on the town hall square opposite us. Cafe Christian IX was built in 2012 and is inspired by the Danish café atmosphere, with the aim of being a meeting place for the citizens of Nykøbing in all their diversity.
