Gallery grave in Ginnerup conifer plantation
In Ginnerup Plantation near Spøttrup lies the only accessible passage grave in the Salling region – a remarkable burial mound dating back around 5000 years. Visitors can crawl into the well-preserved chamber and experience a piece of prehistoric history. A marked trail leads from the parking area to the mound.
This is Salling's best preserved gallery grave. The grave was esteblished in the Stone age, approx. 5000 years ago. In 1910, it was examined and restored, so now it is possible for a person to crawl inside it - if you dare! From the parking lot by the road, a marked path leads to the grave.
