Galerie Umbria – Art, Nature and Collaboration in Motion
Located at Holstebrovej 40, 7830 Vinderup, Galerie Umbria is a vibrant exhibition space and meeting point for art and creativity.
The gallery is run by Rolf Jacobsen, who, after 20 years in Italy, has brought the international art scene and the spirit of Italy to Western Jutland. It hosts ongoing exhibitions featuring both Danish and international artists and serves as a workspace for the Art School in Umbria, which holds annual art courses in Italy each autumn.

Since its opening, Galerie Umbria has presented eight exhibitions showcasing a wide range of artists – from local talents to established names from Denmark and abroad.
Among previous exhibitors are photographer Tommy Bay from Holstebro, visual artist Paul M. Cederdorff – also from Holstebro and recognized for his long-standing work – and Italian artist Marino Ficola, known for his poetic and textured paintings.
The exhibitions share a common goal: to create cross-border encounters where diverse expressions and experiences can unfold side by side.

Next to the gallery, a growing sculpture park is taking shape – perhaps already noticed by passersby on the road between Holstebro and Vinderup. The park expands gradually – one artwork at a time – through collaborations between Rolf Jacobsen and invited artists. Each guest artist works in the studio on a larger piece, which later finds its place in the park and becomes part of the site-specific art landscape surrounding Galerie Umbria.

A visit here offers the chance to experience original art in transformation – where studio, gallery, and nature meet, and new works emerge in step with the evolution of the place itself.
