The Dog Forest in Skive – a haven for dogs and their owners

Located in the western part of Skive Plantation, the fenced dog forest is a popular destination for locals and visitors with dogs. Here, dogs are allowed to run freely without a leash, but only under full control of their companion, ensuring a safe and responsible experience for everyone.

The dog forest has gated entrances from both Svansøvej and Ådalsvej, and the entire area is enclosed, allowing dogs to roam freely and safely. The natural forest floor and varied paths offer plenty of opportunities for play, exercise, and social interaction between dogs and their owners.

Parking is available at DcH Skive – the Danish Civil Dog Handlers Association – at Svansøvej 6, with direct access to the dog forest. It’s an ideal spot for an active break in nature, where both dog and human can enjoy the freedom.
