Welcome to Skive Art Museum – A New Era for Art in Skive
A clear artistic profile and increased relevance — the transition to a dedicated art museum — makes it possible to present the collection in a more focused and coherent way, placing art at the center. The first strategic steps toward Skive Art Museum’s new identity and alignment enable the museum to offer exhibitions of national relevance and create greater recognition among its visitors.
Since the museum opened its doors as Skive Art Museum on January 17, 2025, guests have been able to expect an art museum with two to three changing exhibitions of national significance. The museum also works with new approaches to interpretation, where the artworks are highlighted through clear narratives and engaging experiences for visitors.
Skive Museum’s art collection houses works by renowned artists, including Ellen Hyllemose, Emilie Demant Hatt, Franciska Clausen, Asger Jorn, Per Arnoldi, and others. Going forward, Skive Art Museum will focus on strengthening its collection and developing clear artistic themes.
