Struer Upper Secondary School – From Railway Offices to Education

Struer Upper Secondary School was originally built in 1917–18 as the administrative headquarters for DSB’s 3rd district. In 1937–38, architect Kristian Jensen transformed the 110 office rooms into classrooms, establishing the school as a key educational institution. The school still includes a boarding section and plays a central role in the town’s academic life.
In front of the building stands Eye of the Shadow, a striking 11-meter sculpture by Ingvar Cronhammar, erected in 1992 as a symbolic landmark.
