Virksund Beach – Fjord charm with Blue Flag

Located in the eastern part of Skive Municipality, Virksund Beach has held the Blue Flag since 2014. The beach offers beautiful views of the Limfjord and Ulbjerg Klint. It’s family-friendly with shallow waters and a sandy bottom, reaching a depth of 2 meters about 70 meters from shore. At the headland, there’s a sandy beach, but swimmers should be cautious due to sudden depth changes.

Facilities include a jetty, toilets, a cafeteria, and parking close to the water. The area also features a marina and a campsite. Virksund is a starting point for several hiking routes, and summer nature activities are held with a local guide.
