Feggeklit
A landscape shaped by time, wind and forces that can still be felt in your body when you stand on the edge and let your gaze drift out across the water.

A dramatic landscape by the Limfjord
Feggeklit rises as a mighty moler outcrop in the Limfjord – a landscape shaped by time, wind and forces that can still be felt in your body when you stand on the edge and let your gaze drift out across the water.
Once Feggeklit lay as an island in the sea. Today it stands as a monument to the raw creative power of nature – one of the most striking natural experiences on Mors and throughout the whole of Limfjordslandet.
Geology you can see – and almost touch
To the west, soft grass-covered slopes spread out, where nature has quietly and steadily left its mark. Clear terraces are visible in the landscape here – traces of landslides that have slowly shaped the cliff over time.
On the eastern side the experience is entirely different. Here the moler stands raw and exposed in the steep cliff face – layer upon layer of stories from a distant past. It is geology that can not only be studied – but felt.
To the south-west, nature's calm is broken by human intervention, where Skamol's factory complex bears witness to the importance of this area. As early as 1916, Denmark's first moler brickworks, Skarrehage Molerværk, was established right here.
A place where history lives – and myths breathe
Feggeklit is not just nature. It is also story.
According to legend, it was here that Hamlet avenged himself on his wicked stepfather, King Fegge. The king had killed his own brother and married Queen Geruth – seizing both throne and family.
But revenge came for him. At the top of Feggeklit, Hamlet is said to have killed King Fegge, who was subsequently buried on the spot – encircled by large stones.
If you stand up there today, you can still sense the place. And perhaps you'll feel it too: the breath of history, drawing a thin line between myth and reality.
An experience that stays in the body
Feggeklit is not just a place you visit. It is a place you feel.
Here the raw beauty of nature meets stories that have lived for generations. It is an experience that speaks to both the senses and the imagination – and one that lingers long after you have moved on.
