Odd(e) S(o)und(s)

Over 24 hours, the sounds of the landscape are transformed and recreated into manifold interpretations that can be experienced in the dark concrete bunkers, along the gentle coastline and beneath the noisy bridge.
Sounds carried by wind and waves, pebbles and screeching trains, electric motors and gentle sails, crawling insects and flying birds – and by us humans.

The sounds have been gathered, assembled, composed and curated by 11 international sound artists who have walked through and listened to this very particular landscape.

Odd(e) S(o)und(s) is organised by Kunsthal Regelbau 411, 89 Sound Art School and Metropolis / Performing Landscapes.

Saturday begins at 1:00 pm with the opening of Stine Deja's installation in the Regelbau 411 bunker. From 2:00 pm a continuous programme unfolds across the landscape with interwoven sound installations in the bunkers, sound walks, vocal performances and time-based events until 9:00 pm, when the day culminates in glowing coals and crackling flames.

After a short night, the audience is invited back on Sunday morning for a sunrise fire featuring gentle sounds, tones and movements, which opens the day's programme from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The event takes place at Regelbau 411, Hovedvejen 1, 7790 Thyholm
