Hjerl Hede's historic playground

Welcome to Hjerl Hede's historical playground, where children can play and use their imagination. Always free entry for those under 18 years old.

Welcome to Hjerl Hede's historical playground, where children can play like in the old days.

Here you will find stilts, penny-farthings, slides, swings, and climbing frames that guarantee hours of fun and exercise. On the playground, you will also find a fascinating watermill where children can try to make the waterwheel spin.

Children's Universe
At the playground, children can visit 'The Children's Shop' and 'The Children's Farm', where they can play with wooden horses and get a feel for life on an old farm. There is both mucking out and feeding to do.

Here, children can also trade with toy food items, providing an educational and entertaining experience.

Perfect settings year-round
The playground is conveniently located right next to Restaurant Skyttegaarden, where adults can relax while the children play. The restaurant follows the museum's opening hours and also serves child-friendly dishes. The playground has toilets and covered tables and benches, so you can also enjoy your packed lunch.
Come and experience Hjerl Hede's historical playground – a place where play and history go hand in hand.
