Halvøen Salling

Salling is a large peninsula in the Limfjord north of Skive. Geologically speaking, Salling can be considered more of an islet than a peninsula, as its substrate differs from the areas to the south.

The peninsula covers large parts of Skive Municipality and therefore offers something for everyone.

Dining

Among the gastronomic experiences, you should try Brænderiet Limfjorden, which is a distillery, café, and cottage rental in Sundsøre. If you're looking for a top-class dinner, visit Restaurant Limfjordens Hus in Glyngøre. You shouldn't miss having lunch at Lybystrand, and, of course, don't forget to visit our local Thise Mejeri.

Experiences

Salling also offers a wealth of experiences. For example, you can explore Spøttrup Borg, a genuine castle with moats, castle towers, a knights' hall, a church room, and everything that belongs to the Middle Ages. You can also take a tour of Brænderiet Limfjorden, which produces beer, whisky, rum, gin, schnapps, and liqueurs – and, of course, there are tastings.

If you're interested in art and culture, visit the Sculpture Village Selde, which is a center for art.
