Lem- Skive’s hidden gems

Water on one side, Ice Age landscapes on the other
– and nature right outside your door

Lem – fjord, trails and freedom in Southwest Salling

Lem is located in the western part of Skive Municipality and is part of the village cluster Southwest Salling. The town enjoys a unique setting by Venø Bay and Sønder Lem Vig. Here, the fjord, the beaches and the open landscape are a natural part of everyday life.

The area invites you to enjoy experiences all year round. You can swim at the nearby beaches, practise water sports, sail or fish in the fjord – or explore the landscape on foot, by bike or on horseback. From Lem, four Clover Trails lead you through the varied Ice Age landscape, offering panoramic views, rolling hills and space for reflection.

Nature around Lem is rich in plant and bird life, and the scenery changes with the seasons. Along the Sønder Lem Vig embankment, beautiful views open across the water, while forests and open areas provide room for quiet moments and nature experiences at your own pace.

Lem also offers special places where nature and storytelling meet. Discover the Ellepigerne in the Sønder Lem Vig Nature Park, visit Hostrup Forest Burial Ground, or use Lem as your base for a holiday stay in the area’s many summer houses – including options with pools and longer stays close to the fjord.
