The moler cliffs on the north coast of the island of Fur are up to 30 m high and have alternating layers of moler and volcanic ashes. Some of the layers are vertical while others are folded. Knudeklinten is preserved. On the beach it is possible to find fossils. The moler slopes on Fur are candidates for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
