Nature Park Sønder Lem Vig covers a highly diverse natural area of approximately 975 hectares, stretching from Håsum Enge in the east to Venø Bay in the west.
The park is centered around Sønder Lem Vig but also extends 92 hectares into Holstebro Municipality in its southern section.
The nature park includes a variety of landscapes and ecosystems, residential areas, agriculture, recreational facilities, cultural history, and ancient monuments. It also holds significant scenic and geological value in the flat landscapes formed during the melting of the last Ice Age.
Skive Municipality aims to connect this historically rich and scenic area through a network of nature trails. Stories about the nature, landscape, and history will help bring attention to a unique part of Denmark – where ospreys hunt over the lakes and enormous glacial kettle holes take us 10,000 years back in time.
