Practical Information – Bishop’s Market and World Championship of Medieval Combat 2026

Opening Hours

Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Parking

Parking fee: DKK 30 (payable upon arrival by cash or card).

Parking is available in front of the Welcome Centre. Electric vehicle charging stations can be found at the Cultural Centre parking area, located next to the Welcome Centre car park.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on the grounds but are unfortunately not permitted inside the castle. All dogs must be kept on a leash while visiting.

Food & Drinks

Food and beverages can be purchased at the market. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food.

Tickets

All tickets, including both day passes and weekly passes, must be scanned at the Welcome Centre upon arrival.

Tickets are cheapest when purchased online. Tickets bought at the entrance are subject to a higher handling fee.

Wheelchair Access

A dedicated wheelchair viewing area will be available next to the grandstand. Access is free for wheelchair users and one accompanying companion.

Playground

Come and explore our brand-new playground!

Over the winter, we built a completely new castle-themed playground where children can let their imagination run free. Access to the playground is free of charge, and it can easily be combined with a visit to the castle.
